Mumbai: Bollywood is known for its extravagant celebrity weddings, which often capture the attention and excitement of fans. Year 2022 saw several lovebirds from the tinsel town getting hitched. As we are all set to enter 2023, let’s have a look at all celebrities who got married in 2022.
1 - Sidharth Malhotra And Kiara Advani (07 February 2023)
One of Bollywood’s most eagerly awaited marriages was that of star couple Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani. The big destination wedding of Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani finally took place on 07 February 2023 at Jaisalmer's Suryagarh hotel in Rajasthan. The couple was seen in pastel wedding outfits with Kiara wearing a pale pink lehenga, and Sidharth in a cream sherwani. The wedding festivities kick-started on the 04 February 2023 with the Haldi, Mehendi, and Sangeet ceremonies in the presence of family and friends such as Shahid Kapoor, Mira Rajput, Karan Johar, Juhi Chawla, Manish Malhotra, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif and Nick Jonas-Priyanka Chopra, etc. Kiara Advani who marked her acting debut with Fugly (2014) and Sidharth Malhotra in Student of the Year (2012), respectively, had co-starred in Shershaah (2021) and courted each other for some years before tying the nuptial knot.
2 - Rushad Rana And Ketaki Walawalkar (04 January 2023)
TV and Bollywood actor Rushad Rana got married to the well-known Creative Director of ‘Anupamaa’ and other TV shows, Ketaki Walawalkar in a private ceremony in Mumbai on January 04, 2023. Rushad Rana has acted in TV serials like Kehta Hai Dil, Sasural Simar Ka, Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai, and Anupamaa and Bollywood films such as Mohabbatein, Veer-Zaara, and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Maatr, Rangoon, etc., was earlier married to Khushnum in 2010, but the couple divorced in 2013. Rana found love once again in Ketaki Walawalkar on the sets of the popular show Anupamaa and later decided to get married. For the wedding ceremony, Rushad was dressed in an off-white sherwani while Ketaki wore a yellow sari. A grand star-studded reception was hosted by the newlyweds in Mumbai which was attended by various prominent stars like Delnaaz Irani, Rupali Ganguly, Vishal Malhotra, Gaurav Khanna, Akanksha Chamola, Suchitra Pillai, Sudhanshu Pandey, etc.
3 - Rakhi Sawant And Adil Durrani (29 May 2022)
Bollywood actress and item girl, Rakhi Sawant married her boyfriend of three months, Adil Khan Durrani on 29 May 2022. The couple married in a low-profile Nikah ceremony in the presence of a Qazi which was attended by close relatives and families. Rakhi announced her marriage with Adil only in January 2023 with a certificate that showed that she had converted to Islam and henceforth will be known as Fatima. Her marriage was yet again with a bit of drama when Adil denied the marriage only to later admit it. Rakhi is known for appearing in small roles and dance numbers in Bollywood films like Joru Ka Ghulam, Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hain, Yeh Raaste Hain Pyaar Ke, Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne, Main Hoon Na and Krazzy 4, was earlier married to an NRI named Ritesh that ended in divorce in early 2022.
4 - Tushar Kalia And Triveni Barman (17 January 2023)
Ace Bollywood choreographer Tushar Kalia got married to his girlfriend and model Triveni Barman on 17 January 2023. Tushar who began his career in Bollywood as a choreographer in Karan Johar's film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in 2016, dated Triveni for over a year before announcing his relationship in March 2022. He also choreographed in films like War, Half Girlfriend, Ok Jaanu, Dhadak, The Zoya Factor, Hate Story 4, Thank God, and Govinda Naam Mera and went on to become the winner of Khatron Ke Khiladi season 12. The fairy tale wedding had the groom dressed in an off-white sherwani with a white turban and dupatta while the bride wore a red lehenga with heavy green jewellery, golden ‘kaleera’, and a ‘maangtika’. The wedding was attended by family members and close friends while the newlyweds later posted some photos and videos on their social media handles giving a glimpse of their wedding, and the haldi ceremony.
5 - K.L. Rahul And Athiya Shetty (23 January 2023)
One of Bollywood’s most awaited weddings finally took place when actress Athiya Shetty and ace cricketer K.L. Rahul tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at actor-father Suniel Shetty's Khandala farmhouse on 23 January 2023. The celebrity couple’s wedding festivities began on Saturday followed by the sangeet ceremony on Sunday hosted by the family was attended by their family members and close friends. Athiya, who made her acting debut with Hero (2015) and also appeared in Mubarakan (2017) and Motichoor Chaknachoor (2019), wore an Anamika Khanna blush pink chikankari lehenga with floral embellishments and embroidery while K.L. Rahul donned an ivory sherwani, also designed by Anamika Khanna, complete with an embroidered long overcoat and a dupatta. The wedding was attended by close friends of Suniel Shetty, from superstar Salman Khan, Jackie Shroff, Akshay Kumar, Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor, Krishna Shroff, Diana Penty, Anushka Ranjana and Aditya Seal, etc. It was Ishant Sharma and Varun Aaron from the cricketing fraternity who also attended the fairy tale wedding. The newlyweds later took to their Instagram handles to drop beautiful pictures from their wedding ceremony.
6 - Satyadeep Misra And Masaba Gupta (27 January 2023)
Fashion designer and actress Masaba Gupta married her boyfriend and actor Satyadeep Misra on 27 January 2023 in a secret ceremony in Mumbai. Masaba, daughter of actress Neena Gupta and West Indian cricketer Viv Richards was earlier married to producer Madhu Mantena in 2015 which ended in 2019 while Satyadeep Misra who has acted in films like No One Killed Jessica, Chillar Party, Love Breakups Zindagi, Bombay Velvet, and Vikram Vedha, was earlier married to actress Aditi Rao Hydari which also ended in a divorce in 2013. The couple who reportedly met on the sets of the web series Masaba Masab in 2020, had the bride wearing a personalized barfi pink ‘paan-patti’ lehenga paired with two dupattas while the groom was seen in a printed churidar kurta and a Jawahar coat for the big occasion. 7 - Chitrashi Rawat And Dhruvaditya Bhagwanani (04 February 2023)
Chitrashi Rawat aka Komal Chautala of Shah Rukh Khan's Chak De! India fame finally tied the knot with long time beau Dhruvaditya Bhagwananion 04 February 2023. Chitrashi Rawat, the actress who amazed us all with her performance as a hockey player in Chak De! India and films like Fashion (2008), Luck (2009), Yeh Dooriyan (2011), Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya (2012), etc., was in a relationship for 11 years with actor Dhruvaditya Bhagwanani before tying the nuptial knot at Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. Bollywood producer-director Abhishek Pathak tied the knot with actress Shivaleeka Oberoi at a destination wedding in Goa on 09 February 2023. Abhishek Pathak is producer Kumar Mangat Pathak's son who has produced movies like Drishyam, Omkara, Special 26, Raid, Section 375, Khuda Haafiz, Drishyam 2 and directed Ujda Chaman (2019) and the superhit Drishyam 2 (2022). 9 - Swara Bhasker And Fahad Ahmad (06 January 2023)
Bollywood actress and political activist Swara Bhasker married political leader Fahad Ahmad on 06 January 2023. Fahad Ahmad is U.P. state president of Samajwadi Party's youth wing - Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha while Swara Bhasker who is known for her controversial tweets and speaking her mind announced her wedding with Fahad Ahmad on February 16 which was registered in court on 06 January 2023. The actress took to her Twitter handle to share her simple wedding pics where she was shown posing with her hubby and dancing on the streets. Swara looked pretty in her mother’s wedding red saree with minimal jewellery including a choker and mangtika. 10 - Maanvi Gagroo And Kumar Varun (23 February 2023)
Actress Maanvi Gagroo married actor and stand-up comedian Kumar Varun on 23 February 2023. The couple who had got engaged on 13 January 2023 finally got married in a simple court wedding ceremony which was attended by close family members and friends. 13 - Ashish Vidyarthi And Rupali Barua (25 May 2023)
Famous actor Ashish Vidyarthi tied the nuptial knot to Kolkata-based entrepreneur Rupali Barua on 25 May 2023. The Drohkaal actor was earlier married to Rajoshi aka Piloo Vidyarthi in 2001, with whom he has a son. After getting divorced to Piloo in 2022 Ashish met Rupali during one of his vlogging assignments where the latter revealed she had lost her husband five years back and wanted to start life again. It may be recalled that Ashish predominantly worked in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, English, Odia, Marathi and Bengali films and is a recipient of the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for Drohkaal.

Film producer Madhu Mantena and writer and yoga guru Ira Trivedi tied the knot on 11 June 2023, Sunday in an intimate traditional wedding ceremony in Mumbai amid close friends and family. Madhu Mantena had co-founded Phantom Films with Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl and Vikramaditya Motwane under which he co-produced famous movies like Lootera, Queen, NH 10, Bombay Velvet, Shaandaar, Udta Punjab, Trapped, and Manmarziyaan was dating Ira Trivedi for a while after his divorce to Masaba Gupta in 2019. Ira was seen wearing a pink kanjeevaram saree with a golden ornate belt while the groom wore a traditional dhoti and matching white kurta with a pagdi. Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt’s daughter Krishna Bhatt tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend Vedant Sarda on 11 June 2023 in Mumbai in the presence of their family and friends. Krishna and Vedant Sarda were already engaged in December 2022. 17 - Asees Kaur And Goldie Sohel (17 June 2023)
Popular playback singer known for crooning hits like Raataan Lambiyan (Shershaah), Jaan Ban Gaye (Khuda Haafiz), Ve Maahi (Kesari), Hui Malang (Malang), Asees Kaur tied the nuptial knot to music composer Goldie Sohel on 17 June 2023 in an intimate Anand Karaj ceremony in a Gurudwara in Mumbai. For the wedding, the couple opted for pink outfits. Asees was seen wearing a salwar suit with zari work all over it along with a matching dupatta, emerald necklace, earrings, and a maang teeka and red chooda. Sunny Deol’s son Karan Deol tied the knot with long-time girlfriend and granddaughter of legendary filmmaker Bimal Roy, Drisha Acharya at a grand wedding ceremony in Mumbai on 18 June 2023.
