Shraddha Kapoor is an Indian actress and singer who mainly works in the Bollywood film industry. She is the daughter of veteran Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor and former actress Shivangi Kolhapure. Her family and friends use to call her by ‘Chirkoot’. While working on Saaho (2018) Film, co-star Prabhas gave her a new name ‘Haseena’.

Although, she first appeared in 2010’s thriller film ‘Teen Patti’ as a supporting artist, debuted her career as a lead actress in 2011’s drama film ‘Luv Ka The End’. In 2013, Kapoor starred in Bollywood romantic drama ‘Aashiqui 2’ as a leading actress, which was considered as a breakthrough film in her career.

Debut & Succes Story

Kapoor debuted her career as a supporting actor by playing the role of a college girl in Bollywood with 2010’s thriller film ‘Teen Patti’. Big stars like Amitabh Bachchan and R. Madhavan also co-staring in the film. In 2011, she made her debut as a lead actress with a drama film ‘Luv Ka The End’.

In 2013, she appeared on to Mohit Suri directed the romantic film ‘Aashiqui 2’ as a leading actress. Bhushan Kumar and Mukhesh Bhatt produced the film under their production house T-Series and Vishesh Films. ‘Aashiqui 2’ made ₹110 crores at the box office from the small budget of only ₹15 crores. This film counted as a breakthrough in her career and her portrayal in the film was so much appreciated. She and her costar Aditya Roy Kapoor got several awards for their awesome dramatic portrayal. The song ‘Sunn Raha Hai Na’ female version was sung by Shraddha Kapoor herself and it was her first song as a playback singer.
